Individual Agent of the Year Awards

All categories will be open to agents regardless of the sales channel in which they operate, including high street, homeworkers, call centre and online.

Young Leisure Agent of the Year (non-apprentice)

Open to agents 20 years of age and under on the entry deadline date 11th April 2019, operating in any sales channel, including high street, call centre, online and from home. A shortlist will be invited to a appear before a judging panel.

Please supply an initial entry of no more than 500 words (plus attachments if relevant), explaining why you or your nominated agent should be considered for the award. Please include reference to role within the business, specific responsibilities, sales performance (% and actuals), customer service, new-business acquisition and future targets. Details of high performance and examples of excellence are required for consideration for the shortlist.

Apprentice Leisure Agent of the Year

Open to agents regardless of age who are apprentices on the deadline date 11 April 2019, operating in any sales channel, including high street, call centre, online and from home. A shortlist will be invited to a appear before a judging panel.

Please supply an initial entry of no more than 500 words (plus attachments if relevant), explaining why you or your nominated apprentice agent should be considered for the award. Please include reference to role within the business, specific responsibilities, sales performance (% and actuals), customer service, performance within the apprenticeship standards, new-business acquisition and future targets. Leisure Agent of the Year

Open to agents operating in any sales channel, including high street, call centre, online and from home. A shortlist will be invited to a appear before a judging panel.

Open to agents operating in any sales channel, including high street, call centre, online and from home, and managing staff within their business. A shortlist will be invited to a appear before a judging panel.

Please include reference to personal performance within the business and details of team performance and how that has been influenced, including sales (% and actuals), leadership, mentoring and training, innovation and future targets. Business Excellence Awards

One to Watch Award

Open to any agent or agency operating on the high street, call centre, online or from home, which have been operating as a standalone business for less than 24 months on the deadline date of 11th April 2019. A shortlist will be judged by a panel of experts, at which point further detail/evidence may be requested.

Provide a URL with examples and evidence where applicable:

  • Unique elements 
  • Strong design 
  • Clear navigation 
  • Rich content 
  • Customer-focus 
  • Good usability 
  • Clear booking messaging 
  • Use of social media 
  • Proof of ROI and business generated

Digital Champions of the Year – Large Agency

Open to high street, call centre, online or homeworking agencies with more than 50 sales staff, which have successfully used digital channels to improve their business in the 12 months to 11 April 2019. A shortlist will be judged by a panel of experts, at which point further detail/evidence may be requested.


Please supply an initial entry of no more than 800 words (including links plus examples/attachments where relevant), explaining why your company should be considered for the award. Please include reference to channels utilised (including web, social and digital marketing), in addition to detail of direct results and ROI, innovation and overall strategy. Details of high performance/results and examples of excellence are required for consideration for the shortlist.

Digital Champions of the Year - Small Agency

Open to high street, call centre, online or homeworking agencies, with fewer than 50 sales staff which have successfully used digital channels to improve their business in the 12 months to 11 April 2019. A shortlist will be judged by a panel of experts, at which point further detail/evidence may be requested.

CLIA Cruise Master Award

CLIA is looking to recognise a CLIA member who has reached the ultimate level of accreditation at CLIA through the online CLIA Learning Academy. The winning travel agent will also be able to demonstrate that they can inspire other travel agents, and be a true ambassador for the industry.

Nominees should provide:

  • Maximum 250 words written submission on: What it Means to be a CLIA Master, and what steps you have taken to share your knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
